The Roman bath at Iwamotoro, with its stunning stained glass, felt luxurious and was definitely a highlight. The ocean view from my Japanese-style room was breathtaking, especially on clear days when you could see Mt. Fuji. The traditional breakfast was impressive and well-prepared, making for a delightful start to the day. However, some areas of the hotel seemed dated, and the public parking situation could be confusing, adding unnecessary hassle. I also faced some confusion regarding dinner reservations. it wasn’t clear that they didn’t offer dinner in-house which was disappointing.

A historic inn with cultural charm
Staying at Iwamotoro was like stepping into history. The Roman bath was a highlight. its stunning stained glass and regal ambiance made each soak feel luxurious. I also adored how the staff offered a tailored breakfast to accommodate my gluten allergy, showcasing their attention to detail and customer service.
However, I noticed some areas could use upgrades. the carpeting in the lobby felt worn and could benefit from a refresh. Additionally, the public parking situation was a bit confusing, leading to some unnecessary hassle during check-in.

10/10
Them baths were just somethin' else, especially that Roman-style one with all them fancy stained glass bits. The staff treated us like family, even helpin’ us out with our breakfast choices. We had a right good time sittin’ by that ocean view, just watchin’ the waves roll in. I swear that futon was cozier than my couch at home.

We loved the unique Roman-style baths and the beautiful views from our room. Being right on Enoshima strip made it easy for our large family of six, including four teenagers, to explore local shops and restaurants, and then retreat to the onsen. One evening, we enjoyed watching the sunset behind Mt. Fuji, a truly unforgettable experience!
My kids wished there were more dining options nearby.
